I'm a big demi stan and she sounded amazing but why does she purposely make these horribly ugly faces? She never did this pre-DEMI era and she didn't do it at the grammys this year?

I love Demi and I love this song, but it's so frustrating how she feels the need to go from 0 to 100 as soon as the first chorus hits. It's way too much too soon, and makes it sound like she's screaming and going over the top. It would be SO much more powerful if she was more gradual throughout the whole song, and made it more climactic. It's so frustrating to watch because she has the ability to do it, she just executes it not as well as she could be.

She knows how to sing just enough as we saw at the grammys and her ray charles white house performances, which both were miles better than any stone cold performance.
