So I decided to watch I Am Legend, as it's been over 8 years since I've watched it and 7 minutes into the film you see this...
My jaw dropped a mile. I had to pause it and try processing it in my brain. Did they really predict the future? So I had to Google it. I first came across this article...
*Due note the date in the movie poster states a "05.15" release. Batman vs. Superman came out in 03.16. But if you think about it, the film probably wrapped up by that date, but had to finalize the film with CGI and editing. Wow...just plain wow....

The film was originally pitched in August 2001 by Andrew Kevin Walker, with Wolfgang Petersen to direct and Akiva Goldsman to script. Goldman's script had Bruce Wayne's fiancée slain by the Joker, which sends him on a revenge rampage and brings him into conflict with Superman who tries to stop him. The film was shelved, but in Goldsman's I Am Legend (2007), a teaser poster for the film (the Superman shield inside a bat) was seen in the opening scene.

Basically, what I gathered from this is that Warner Bros. is way smarter than we all thought. This has been in the works since 2001. And more often than not, when movies like this are put off for so long, that means they've got something awesome planned and finally have the script working just right.

Then in one of the comments, you see a more explanatory explanation to this Easter Egg.

"I Am Legend" was produced in 2007 but Warner Brothers had already heavily trailed the possibility of a Batman/Superman crossover film as early as 2004, going as far as confirming a Director and Head of Studio (neither of whom ultimately ended up working on the project).
The logo used in both "I Am Legend" and the upcoming "Batman Vs Superman" film is a variant of the Superman/Batman logo used in the crossover comic of the same name back in 2003.
It's also worth mentioning that the Producer of I Am Legend (Akiva Goldsman) was also involved in rewriting an aborted Superman/Batman film screenplay as far back as 2002. You can read the failed screenplay here. Putting the logo in the film may have been a subtle jibe at Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. King of predicting the future.
Crazy tidbit. Something you might be taken aback by. I know I was!
