I was just looking on Rihanna's beautifully written and crafted wikipedia page for her discography, deciding to do my daily checkin about her recent sales - since she just released a MASSIVE, motivational album - ANTi.
When, it came to my attention, that only her U.S. sales for ANTi is listed which is only a total of 279k so far, which is decent.
Now, here's my problem: why aren't FRA, UK, and WW listed as well? They are listed for the rest of her albums and her sales for those are IMMENSELY huge.
But, it should be noticed that her sales WW have decreased over the years
GGGB's 7m > Rated R's 3m
Loud's 8m > TTT's 5m > Unapologetic's 4m > ANTi's 279k.
Could it be because the album ISN'T selling ANYTHING in other countries? Or maybe Rihanna's popularity has deceased this era and will stay this way?
Rihanna, sure exactly isn't a global superstar like other people's faves but she still sells quite well in other countries, for her age, which is why it's so shocking to see that this album and Rihanna are completely local.
I mean, you have to admit that's quite strange. Is Rihanna becoming local? Or was it because of a horrible era?
Can she rebound from this?
