I'm talking VEVO views in platform on VEVO.com - does anyone know the true tea?

I remember initially they did not, and someone is telling me they do now but there's no proof or evidence online.

VEVO-only views as in without counting YouTube? They're very negligible anyway. Probably like less than 1% of a video's views.

They started counting in 2013, when Harlem Shake became a #1.

You need at least 30 seconds of audio and the song has to be uploaded as "Music" and have a Standard Youtube License to count for the Hot 100.

The charts initially were only counting VEVO views that came from YouTube (i.e. youtube.com/artistVEVO) and not actually views on VEVO.com

Yes - this. Initially - in 2013 - views only counted if they came from YouTube. If you were on VEVO.com viewing the video, your view did not count.
