Single: Jess Mauboy 'Get Em Girls' ft Snoop Dog due Sept 17

Aussie songstress, Jessica Mauboy, is on the verge of releasing her third solo album. The first single from her new album (both titled 'Get Em Girls') will be released on Friday Sept 17 (Oz time).

Her singles from the 'Been Waiting' era include Running Back (ft Flo Rida), Burn, Been Waiting, Because and Up/Down. Been Waiting and Burn were the most successful reaching No.3 and No.1 on the Aussie charts.

Aside from working with SNOOP DOG on this track, it has been confirmed that Jess has worked with LUDACRIS, JAY SEAN and IYAZ on this album, due for release early November. Should be awesome!!

I freakin' LOVE Jessica Mauboy - She's turning into Australia's own Beyonce. All singles released were fantastic, especially "Running Back".

She's going IN with this album though!

4 big names?

Could she be trying to crack overseas? She's Idol's best chance at that IMO. No other contestant that's ever come from the show really has "it", so I wish her the best.

Yep, I reckon she is trying to crack it overseas. Even if she doesn't make waves in the States (always unlikely for an Aussie artist), I reckon she could achieve a fair amount of success in the UK.

Agree with the Beyonce comment too. Both are sweet and humble but confident young women with great voices and serious potential.

OMG, I love her. "Burn", "Been Waiting" and "Because" are my favorites. The album itself was pretty cool but with a few fillers. I am def looking forward to this one too.

It’s the first taste and title track of her new album, due out on November 5. Mauboy and her label Sony have pulled out all the stops for the track, which was produced by Bangladesh (Beyonce’s "Video Phone", Lil Wayne’s "A Milli").

Mauboy recently shot the video in LA with Dogg and high-profile director Hype Williams, the man behind Christina Aguilera’s "Not Myself Tonight" and Jay Z’s "Empire State of Mind" videos.

Described as a “thumping hip hop track”, "Get ‘Em Girls" originally didn’t feature Snoop Dogg, who was a last minute addition to the song.

"He is incredible. I have never met such a beautiful man, so intelligent, very smart, just on the ball," Mauboy told the Daily Telegraph newspaper over the weekend. "He was caressing my legs, he was doing all the things that we didn't expect him to do. He just did a great performance for us."

“I never thought he’d even take the time to listen to it,” says Mauboy. “I think that was the really cool thing - he found a connection with the song.”

The album has a lot to live up to. Mauboy’s 2008 debut album Been Waiting has gone double platinum off the back of hit singles "Running Back" with Flo Rida (peaking at #3 on the ARIA Singles chart), "Been Waiting" (#12) and "Burn" (#1). At last year’s ARIA Awards, she was nominated in seven categories, but only won Highest Selling Single for Running Back.

I hope it's not some recycled Bangladesh track.
