While EA did manage to push out a quality Expansion in December, the rest of The Sims 4 era has been a non-event seeing as The Sims 4 was meant to be a spin-off game of some kind, that EA rushed into The Sims 4 because it was scared any other kind of Sims game would flop after SimCity flopped in 2013.
Not to mention, the last PC Sims game that was not a trainwreck from day go was The Sims 2 and probably The Sims 2 Castaway on console.
The Sims 3 was known to be a hot mess that often didn't work than did, and the price for content was through the roof with most of it being unfinished or poorly executed.
Only one Sims 3 EP (
) has good feedback from the GP (World Adventures) and EA removed the ability to post reviews about the content on The Sims 3 store.

Knowing all this, would you rather EA work on something that isn't designed for 5 years worth of DLC? Or would you rather a traditional Sims game.
