It's a known thing for black people with natural hair to be fired from their jobs or suspended from school whereas non-black people are seen as ~edgy~ and ~free-spirited~ for trying to rock the same hairstyles...

Dreadlocks are a prime example of that.

I can't tell if you're joking or not, but this doesn't help your case being as dreadlocks are nationally considered a black/ethnic hairstyle. Post a pic of a white girl being kicked out for her natural straight hair.

But remember y'all said hair is just hair.

I remember this story from a million years ago. She wears dreads because it's part of her religion supposedly but that's another conversation for another day.

The point is dreadlocks/braids/Afro's fall under the category of black/ethnic hair. Whenever someone of another race does it, it's cool.

So why arent kids being kicked out of school for their naturally straight hair? It's obvious that the European straight hairstyle is the norm in today's society and everything else is considered wrong...... Or black.

Because straight hair is... sleek, tidy, easy to maintain, and professional. It's not a black vs white thing, it's a curly vs straight thing. And by curly I mean all hairstyles that aren't straight.

This is sad that you think that. People should be judged on their merit not their hair texture. I understand that many employers think the way you do but people of color, shouldn't have to perm or straighten their hair to conform to what society deems "professional".
