hope that she sucks at volleyball, because if it turns out she's a really strong female player, the headlines will read that it's because she was born a man and has an advantage, which will in turn start a conversation about whether trans women are allowed to fairly play on a female team in sports. Trans men won't get this same kind of backlash in sports, since being born a woman is not seen as "an advantage." It will start a "sexism"/"trans sexism" conversation in the media.
