The film is already the world's largest animated release of all time and the 7th biggest motion picture. That makes Disney the first studio in history to release two $1 billion films in a single year. Its Alice In Wonderland is the 5th biggest title in global box office history after taking $1.0243 billion in worldwide grosses. Of course, both films were 3D and able to charge higher ticket prices.
