Deadmau5 called out Kanye after he saw what looked like Kanye's attempt to download Serum from Xfer Records, a $189 piece of music software.
The tab itself is not from The Pirate Bay website, which uses a different title structure, but comes from a site that uses the TPB brand. A release blog, which lists a pirated copy of Xfer Records synthesizer software Serum, seems to be a likely candidate.
This suspicion is supported by another open tab pointing towards a Music Radar article listing the best VST/AU plugins, where Serum comes out as one of the winners.
I heard pirated music software distorts the tracks in a way that you can't hear it, but you can see it on the waves when you open the track in an editor (like an imprint or something like that). If that's the case, using it commercialy is pretty reckless.
