Video Games: The Sims 2 PSP Appreciation Thread (So underrated)

The game was developed by the PC team as a backstory to Strangetown. You start off getting your car fixed by a Mechanic after you crash your car. You meet Bella Goth who is trying to leave Strangetown after being abducted. You buy her house and the story begins.

It's literally better than Urbz imo, and it sold better than Urbz too (Urbz has a cult following).

It received pretty decent Metacritic reviews, however the only criticism was the loading times (which are like 1 second on an easy to use emulator

) and some PSP models caused the game to crash.

If you like the story based game mechanics as seen in games like Life Is Strange (where you choose how what to say to someone in conversation etc) than you'll love this.

How many have you played this gem?

I always cackle when they make references to players.

Like the conspiracy when one of the Sims died when the Pool ladder "vanished" and the Sim couldn't get out and died. It's amazing how the Sims talk about what players typically do to them.

I never got the chance to play the PSP version but the PS2 version was flawless.

The PS2 game was flawless, but the PSP game had a better storymode overall.
The PS2 game had good graphics and gameplay, but basic storyline.

Sometimes I wish the Sims 2 on PS2/Xbox/GC was just another spin off and we got this game as the official Sims 2 on those instead.
Sims 2 on PS2 has almost no relation to the PC game at all, the only thing similar is the title.
Mainly because it was supposed to be Urbz 2 before Urbz flopped so bad.

Why is this thread reported? Is it because I suggest to use an emulator? You can buy The Sims 2 off Sony's store and run it through an emulator rather than put it on your PSP. It's not promoting Piracy or whatever.
