As a ginger, this upsets me tremendously.
Besides Harry Potter we never seem to get cast as the few characters we have,
like.. Peter Pan is never a ginger in his screen adaptations, so Archie is one of the VERY VERY FEW cute male ginger roles and of course they're giving it to a non-ginger.
I get that there might not be a huge amount of ginger talent out there,
but this is unfortunate.
I know people are going to kii at me saying this,
but growing up gingers are tormented relentlessly, and male gingers in particular are ALWAYS the ugly character.
Female redheads are always celebrated, but male gingers are considered universally unattractive.
Like... I've had grown ass men harass me in stores for no reason with ginger related taunting. Lately its been getting a little better, but it's bullying based on uncontrollable things and it is constantly pushed under the rug.
So can like.. we have the ONE male character who is iconic? Is that too much to ask?
