Actually, no point proven at all. Fearless was the best selling album of 2009 at that point, making Taylor the youngest artist ever to have the best selling album of the year. It was also the favorite to win Album of the Year at the Grammys (and it ended up winning, and sweeping several other awards). Love Story and You Belong With Me were very big crossover hits on Pop, especially Love Story which became an international hit, selling over 6 million WW. It reached #2 on Overall Radio, which is VERY rare for a Country song. It was getting a vast majority of it's airplay from non-Country stations. She had an arena tour that year that sold out in minutes
Not to mention, she had one of the more anticipated performances that night at the VMA's, and she was on stage winning a fan voted award. Like....you'd have to be an idiot to think Kanye single handedly made her famous when she was a huge star before, Fearless was her most successful album overall and that's no thanks to Kanye.
