I made the same thread two years ago with lukewarm reception, let's see how i'd do this time around.
So, the objective of this thread to expose us girls to different music. This is how things go: The first poster (moi) will post a song. The poster below me will fully listen and then comment on the song i posted, and ended his/her comment by posting another song (preferably using Youtube link) which will be commented by the following user. Rinse and repeat
RULES
1. You must listen to the entire song. If you hate the music that's being posted so much that you can't get through it, then don't post next.
2. Only post intelligent responses. I don't want to hear simple one or two word responses like "Pretty good" or "That sucked". Don't be too thoughtlessly insulting or concise in commenting (take off your stan/hater hats in this thread). Put some thought into your responses, please.
3. No offensive songs or videos. Remember, there are people of all ages browsing this forum, so we don't need any detailed descriptions of gang rape or anything. Oh, and please only post songs with acceptable duration. Do not post Rush's 2112 for example
4. If possible, post less known musicians. Remember, the objective is to expose us girls to various good music out there
Awful. Just awful. I simply don't like this because the lead singer's voice is cringeworthy and just bad. Like he should probably be on the guitar. Who gave him the mic? Fire whoever did. I do love their song Sleepyhead, but 1/10 wouldn't recommend.
I normally find this type of music boring but I liked this. The lyrics are really clever. I like how he described the influence of people as the water that takes the shape of the all that it's around
I like it! I like his voice, kind of frantic and reminds me of quite a bit of early 90s rock singers. I like the verse and how it slows down during the chorus. Perfect song for an evening drive. Will definitely check him out. 8/10
EDIT:
Gone - Beth Crowley
Good vocals. I really like the melody and the lyrics (i like the "i dont intend to lose" part). But i do think it'll be much better with alt/rock production a la Kelly Clarkson maybe? Somehow i imagine a full band production would make it cool. 7/10
