Exec. Producer teases Gaga & Taylor Grammy performances
Quote:
Without giving too much away, he describes Gaga’s David Bowie tribute as “meaningful” and “eclectic.” He says Gaga will be singing more than one song and has been working closely with the musical director of the segment, frequent Bowie collaborator Nile Rodgers .
“It'll be fitting for David,” Ken says. “It'll be meaningful. But, you know, David was eclectic, David was a character. So, you know, you can say the same thing about Lady Gaga and that's what we expect it'll be.”
But first, all eyes will be on Taylor -- her performance is opening the show. The seven-time nominee previously kicked off the Grammy ceremony in 2013, with a performance of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." This time around, her song of choice will be a surprise.
“I don't know if we've talked about what the song is or not. I don't think we have and I'd rather not give it away,” Ken says. “But she is gonna blow it out and it's gonna rock the house.”
