Because Zayn can bring profit to the label. The Music Video alone made Pillowtalk debut at #1. So of course RCA is gonna jump on ship quick

Tinashe gave RCA only ONE Top 30 hit. Her 2nd and 3rd single didn't do anything so why would they keep investing?

If only Scooter were her manager...

Maybe if they invested she would be bigger?

how can an entire label only be able to focus on ONE artist? Seems stupid.

I hope they drop her, I am pretty sure there are a lot of lables that want her, she has so much potential.

That's the thing though. Labels are greedy and want songs to blow up on their own (with no promo), once it does hits on Billboard Hot 100, THEN they invest and book TV Performances.

She deserves better

I'd be frustrated if I were her. Imagine working your ass off being involved in the creative process, and then some loser with an attitude like Zayn's comes along, drops a mediocre song, typical, pedestrian video.

They are on opposite sides of the talent spectrum and yet he has already gained success. Tinashe could easily compromise her vision to release a song like Pillow Talk, but she's staying true to herself. I don't think Zany could say the same.
