As a gamer I hate mtn dew it shrinks your dick and doritos can damage my braces. I also played football and basketball for a couple of years, but like I've actually never seen anyone say I'm a loser for gaming.
but I see that you're emotional about this topic though, but I think you're knocking sports and trying to downplay what they do while trying to defend what you do which is never the right move.
And the whole diversity thing? Idk man.. It was kinda cringy hearing that.. and I really can't put into words how I feel about that.
I do think there is a lot homophobia and racism in the gaming community and it really isn't as accepting as you're making it out to be. I've been discriminated against a lot while doing my thing.
Final Notes: If someone is trashing you for playing video games unless they're paying your bills pay them bitches no mind do what you love and let others do what they love

I get what you mean, their is homophobia and racism in the gaming industry, but not like in the football / sports industry. Anyone can be a gamer, not everyone can be a football player. They don't even allow women to play the same professional football that men do, meanwhile if a female wanted to be a gamer she could be. If a football player came out, they would be under fire like crazy, harassed by other players and by fans, meanwhile in the gaming industry no one cares. I agree that it did sound like I downplayed sports and they definitely are more respected, but I tried to bring it down to a level that makes no one feel bad about what they do. Both Gaming and Football / sports are just GAMES, something most people do just for fun. It shouldn't matter which one is "better" or more respected, it should be equal because both are just games. Thanks for commenting, I really appreciate it
