It tells more about us than the person we are judging. I wouldn't say it's a need because I'm convinced we could live in bliss without judging anyone (or rather projecting personal elements that frustrate us on them). What could be a good start, as very few have mastered the art of letting go, is trying to see what we could learn about ourselves in what we see (positive & negative) in others.

You need judgements to survive. I mean unless you're thinking of someone just being judgemental. I'm talking about judgement in general. However, it's definitely better to judge off of actions than appearance when possible.

Absolutely. There's nothing worse than a person so lax in their own convictions that they're unable to express a judgment. Those people are spineless and a detriment to society.

Everybody judges others whether they say they do or not, it's just a part of life.

Being judgemental is undoubtedly human nature, but being an asshole is not. Just keep it to yourself unless the situation demands honesty.
