Celeb News: Gilmore Girls wins Logo Award, revival confirmed!

Netflix is breaking its silence about that in-the-works Gilmore Girls revival.

“I can’t tell you much about Gilmore Girls,” he said. “We’re still working on buttoning down everything before our announcements.”

Amy Sherman-Palladino and exec producer Daniel Palladino (AKA Team Palladino) will write and direct the entire revival, which will consist of four 90-minute episodes/mini-movies. As TVLine exclusive revealed, each episode will represent a different season over the course of one calendar year. In other words, there will be a fall chapter, a winter chapter, a spring chapter and a summer chapter. The revival will be set in the present day, or roughly eight years after the series ended.

Lauren Graham will be returning to her role as the single mother in the long awaited reboot of Gilmore Girls.
And Lauren Graham revealed just how much work had yet to be done when she shared a message on behalf of the upcoming program when it swept up the New Now Next TV Honoree gong from Logo TV.

'Hi everyone, thank you so much for choosing Gilmore Girls as your New Now Next TV Show,' she said.
'This is my favourite award I've ever gotten because I have done absolutely nothing to deserve it, we haven't even started shooting and I haven't seen any of the scripts.
So all I can tell you is it is because of you, the devoted fans, that I get to revisit this character and go back to this world, and we're all so excited and so thankful.
'So, thank you so much for this honour, and we'll see you on Netflix soon.'

Lauren couldn't contain her excitement, immediately posting a cheeky message on Twitter when she learned the news.

'I CAN NOW CONFIRM: it's time for me, and this jacket I stole in 2007, to return to work,' she posted on Friday.
