This is a music forum but over the years, I've noticed how much celebrity figures get praised and acknowledged simply for being 'relevant', which translates to BEING THE MOST POPULAR regardless of whether or not they have any tangible talent (sucking only black dick doesn't make you 'relevant' on a MUSIC forum).
This culture is even reflected in the artists that are discussed here.
A Dawn Richard will get a "who?" when she controls her entire solo career from the writing of music to the concepts and production of her videos and imagery.
But a new major label signee will get "yesss", "queen" for literally standing/walking around a stage lip-syncing and modelling.
Similarly people who have achieved legendary status are disregarded because they're not at the top of the charts today and thus 'irrelevant', regardless of the doors they opened for YOUR favs to lip-synch through.
This is a pop forum based on top 40 music. Even its start as an arching site for trl implies that. Besides, I've seen and been in threads for artists that aren't that popular here or in the world.
And this site can be less friendly to males than female artists.
