I think the TIDAL downloads don't count towards sales, but the Samsung ANTIdiaRy ones do considering technically it is a paid product that you are getting for free due to using a code.

Either way SOMEONE will report how much of the sales came from the free albums, so either way people will be able to determine if it soared or tanked. Trying to hide it seems dumb.

Also, doesn't Billboard only count albums that are at least sold for $3.99 or something? One would think they wouldn't count the free albums.

Jay-Z had a deal with Samsung (Magna Carta Holy Grail) and those sales did not count.

The problem is Samsung paid $5 a piece for ANTi downloads. Who knows if it'll count? If so, she'll definitely be exposed.

"Leaking" it then releasing it for free was GENIUS on her part. Now she and her fans have a cute alibi for the flopage. They'll cling to it for dear life.

We all know the era has been messy so I couldn't care less about whether the free downloads count as sales or not. A 24-hour giveaway and its impact -or lack of thereof- on a chart is overshadowed by the actual quality of the album for me.

I used three email addresses, and obviously would not have bought three copies, so.. good luck with that.
