Nobody can tell you how to feel, how to grieve or cope with this. Instead know yourself how you're feeling, and decide how to cope. Some people like to think their lost ones are in a better place, some (as you mentioned two people in your post) like to think that their lost ones are together. When you've experienced the pain of grief, give yourself some time, then
move on.
Remember it's completely normal to feel sadness, shock, numbness, tiredness, exhaustion, anger and even guilt.
