'It was like something out of The Shining': Man arrested for hacking off woman's hand before stabbing her to death in unprovoked attack in Bronx hallway
Victim Carmen Torres-Gonzalez, 59, was chatting with her mom's home health aide in her hallway when she was attacked
Cops say the victim's hand was chopped off and she was hacked to death with a machete
Police say the attack was unprovoked and called the suspect a 'psychopath'
Neighbors said they called suspect Angel Feliz-Volquez, 25, 'the mental guy'
Angel Feliz-Volquez, 25, is taken out of the Mott Haven Houses in the Bronx after allegedly murdering a woman who lived in the same building

Neighbors say she was innocently speaking with the health aide when the man attacked, chopping off her hand, and then hacking her to death with a machete, reports the New York Post.
'It’s pretty bad,' a police source told the Post. 'This psychopath chopped her hand off.'
Neighbors described the suspect as 'the mental guy.'
One neighbor, who declined to be identified, compared the grisly scene to the horror movie The Shining, saying, 'It looked like somebody just took a couple of buckets of red paint and poured it down the stairs. We have never seen so much blood.'

Is it me or NYC is having so many crazies lately. Like the other stories of random attacks with those crazies slashing random people faces. I have seen more angry crazies out and about shouting at people these days in the city.

This happened in the Mott Haven Houses in the Bronx, the projects. It could happen in any city. If you don't plan on living anywhere near that you should be fine!
