The video was filmed at the couple's wedding reception in Auckland last week.
In it, they watch with emotion as the groomsmen and guests surprise them with a heartfelt performance of the traditional dance, before joining in themselves.
"I wasn't planning on jumping in until one bridesmaid did," said Ms Armstrong. "I felt the need to show love and respect back. I was really blown away."
Women do not normally perform the haka in Maori culture but she said they can do at weddings.
The nearly three-minute video ends with the couple emotionally embracing the performers.
'Moved me to tears'
What drugs do they use in NZ? The cultural appropriation by whites is disgusting

first of all are you blind? Second of all you're gonna say this is disgusting cultural appropriation when you also described it as a messy wedding on drugs Messy indeed
How the hell is it cultural appropriation when those of the culture are present and have allowed the participation? Like I'm an out'n'proud SJW but you literally do not know what CA is if you think this is an example of it.
Cultural appropriation literally means what it means; you take an aspect of the culture and appropriate it thus de-contextualising, trivialising and whitewashing it of any cultural and symbolic significance. The groom did none of that.
why do you care? does this concern you? are you an expert on New Zealand's history and culture? from what I see on that fb page literally no one is bothered by this.
Am I missing something? The Haka is a traditional Maori dance that holds a lot of meaning. It's by no means 'messy'. Maybe start respecting other cultures?

To the people saying it's messy or cultural appropriation, pls learn about Maori and NZ culture before you speak.
I actually thought the video was beautiful, the performance obviously meant a lot to the bride.
Definitely isn't messy or cultural appropriation.
Also I just want to point out the bride, and the people performing the haka may possibly have Maori blood in them despite appearing "white". There are almost no pure-blooded Maori in NZ left - most of our indigenous people have some form of European or other blood in them.
Um this is cultural appropriation if the people performing it are not of that culture but we don't know that, also describing it as drug induced is insulting to the culture, not the people doing it
first of all, it's a war cry, so it should not be used at a wedding. at a match ok, but it's odd here.
second of all, it does not matter who is marrying who or whatever, the whites in the video act like this haka is sacred to them when it's clearly not...

Just to clarify with facts - there are no pure-Maori left.
