You only have to learn it if you're going into a math related field here. So I've never (and will never) take calculus.

I personally learned it because it's important to higher level stats classes that I need for one of my majors.

If you ever pursue a major or career involving science or mathematics, it's important to have calculus proficiency. It's incredibly important to instill strong math skills in a younger generation to keep employment high in STEM fields so as to foster progress in our society, so that's why high schools often offer it.

It might not be daily use material for most people, but it makes sense to teach it to a significant number of students imo.

To promote higher level thinking and higher understanding (just in general, not even in just math). I might be partial to it because one of the degrees I'm pursuing is in mathematics but I'd say it's one of the most valuable courses I've ever taken (not to mention it's not that hard and pretty enjoyable).

This. I've only ever worked in PR & the like and plan to do the same after graduation. Calc is not needed for that.

Calculus has absolutely no relevance in my field, which is built off of experience and knowing how to represent and communicate. I have been able to do that well without calculus thus far, though many people I know who live and breath math cannot write worth a dime, even less communicate well. That's not true for everyone, though.
