They're people in the journalism / entertainment industry I think

They also predicted a lot of winners and got it right in the past, most wins than loses. But we can't ever be sure, its a shot in the dark.

Goldderby is not reliable. Gaga wasn't the front-runner for the Golden Globe, yet she won. I'm glad many publications think she will win, but it's not reliable at all.

she's definitely the front runner in that category though. given the subject and seriousness of her song she has an edge

They just didn't want to believe Gaga would win. While others media outlets were certain of it because the HFPA have a pattern.
But deep down they knew that Gaga winning was possibility.
