Has the term "throwing shade" crossed over to the mainstream in Middle America? I was watching the NFL football game on TV today, and was shocked when there was a football player using the term "throw shade" in an interview!

Is basically everyone using it now?? It was first time I've heard straight white guys use the term. I wonder what other slangs have crossed over to the mainstream?

i was gonna post this but didn't wanna get dragged

So many people on my FB feed say things like slay and hunty and yas when sharing things and it's like

they've already been dragged by many black women who find it offensive and they still carry on "snatching weaves"

I mean, i'd get it if it were black gay men acting like black women but the entire gay community? y'all ****ed up

"Throwing shade" is basically becoming a common phrase now
