A video of a terrified dog crying as it gets stroked for the first time is sure to pluck at the heart-strings of even the most reluctant animal lover.
In a moving two-minute clip the once-abused pup issues heartbreaking cries as it gets given some rare but much needed affection, at a kennels in Romania.
At first the small whimpering dog, named Priscilla, seems genuinely in distress as she tries to comprehend whether her handler means her any harm.
Defenseless and petrified she often snaps her head around in an attempt to see what the hand touching her is going to do next.
Oh my god, delete this. My little girl was a bit like this when I adopted her, their previous owners killed all of her brothers and had abused her. She didn't want to see a single human. I can't bear thinking about how dogs have to suffer from this type of behaviour, they love being with us and care about us so much, why do some people hurt them this bad?
I hope this dog found a new home and her new family loves him as much as I love my dog. Wounds get healed with time, but the memory will always be there for this little buddy.

oh my god
glad that someone adopted him, I hope they will treat him well
people that treat animals like trash need to die, it makes me so mad when I see abandoned dogs and cats on the street
Omg I'm crying so hard. Dogs are the best creatures on this planet, I can't understand how there can be MONSTERS that treat them badly. Look at her, so terrified, I can't think of the type of abuse that's made her behave like that in front of human people.
Thank god her story has a happy ending and there are still HUMAN BEINGS in this world who care about making the lives of dogs better. I wish I could volunteer at a dog shelter, but I'd breakdown everytime I come across this type of scenes.

This kinda reminds me of my cat when I adopted her, except she still shows signs of the abuse 6 years later and looks like she will never fully get over it. *insert broken heart emoji*
She's not as traumatized as that poor dog, thought.
The way the sensation of touch seemed so foreign and harmful to her, just imagine how much abuse that poor dog had been through. The way it was screaming....ugh that really broke my heart.
So glad it got rescued and is in a much much better place right now. Ugh that poor thing deserves so much love
I had a dog from a shelter for years until he died a few years ago. He was beaten and almost killed by vile ppl who think it's some sort of entertainment to abuse animals.
I can only encourage everybody to take animals from shelters. The love they will give you back when they realise they are safe, is the best thing ever.
