Music industry smells like a dead tank now.
Everything sounds like the same,
things are not moving on.

ten years ago, music industry was pretty much at its robust peak,
there was much diversity, creativity and sincerity from the musicians that one could pick and enjoy from,
also musicians had good tastes, and were more motivated to make music without piracy hurting.
now hip-hop can't get over its sampling gimmicks,
alternative music sounds like it's stuck in the jam,
and country music sounds just as generic as electro-pop,
rock sounds dead, indie/folk sounds holier-than-thou,
latin music pretty much sounds exactly like ten years ago,
europop simply sounds horrible, almost embarrassing, (e.g. tecktonik),
and asian pop scene gets no further beyond boy-bands and girl-groups,
don't blame me on taking such cynical approaches,
i just wonder if anyone feeling the same.

I feel the same. But some artists are going against these trends of the same old boring plaid music, specifically Gaga herself

I need Utada to make an album now .
Lady GaGa too, but we aren't going to see anything new from her in a while.

I wish I had lived during the 60's. Music has no originality nowadays.

LMAO, Lady GaGa Music is normal, i don't see anything different for her Music, it's totally comercial and catch, But her Looks and Videos Make her Music Amazing
BTW, i feel the same, but i really think it's just a era in the Music Industry, In some years, everything will be different

well Gaga definitely had some of the moments on poker face, lovegame and bad romance,
but yeah, i agree, she has to evolve musically, unlike the safe-toss TFM. Something bold.

I AGREE
This electro-pop thing is getting out of border, it was great with Ke$ha, Gaga, BEP and such, but now things like Taio Cruz and some other **** with generic garbage.
It's time to move on!
It has been said than the first year of a new decade it's like an epilogue of the previous, so hopefully 2011 will bring new rhythms!

Indie/Alternative isn't really "holy" or "stuck in its jam"..
some people don't really go far enough into it and judge it too quickly. There's actually some of those kinda artists in that genre who are some of the most talented out there
but I do agree with the pop and rap/hip hop part. those two genres are more stuck in their jam.
the only good rapper out there anymore to me is Eminem .
but hey, that's just me, don't get mad if you disagree.

I hope you're trolling, because Hip Hop has pretty much always sampled. It's one of the best things about the genre.

i actually agree.. indie/alternative still remains as the most 'uncompromising' style.
though, there are several discs (gorillaz, mgmt, etc..) have gone a bit sub-par quality-wise.. *upset*
i think lil wayne's carter iii was pretty good too. but you know they are so rare now. :-\
