Do you regret not doing something in the heat of the moment?
My niece worked on xmas eve, so I went to pick her up at the mall.
To make the super long story a bit shorter, as we're trying to leave the garage I unintentionally cut someone off because I thought they were trying to park (the movie theater was still opened), I waved as a gesture of apology and I thought they accepted it, whatever. Few minutes later I hear (what sounded like) an object hitting my car, it was a light sound so I ignored it, thought maybe it was the shakiness of the garage since all the cars were trying to get out, but it wasn't, the asshole was throwing **** at my car.
Within seconds, my niece gets out and starts cussin' them out. I was trying to remain calm and collective, and I did for the most part. The objects they threw were an empty water bottle and a gps holder which didn't do anything.
I get out and tell my niece to calm down and get in the car, she suffers from anxiety and I was more scared for her health than anything. So we both get in the car, she calms down and the asshole tries to cut me off, but I didn't let him out of spite.
At this point, I was getting ****ing heated and wanted to grab the wrench in the back of my car and bust all his ****ing windows.
What stopped me? My job, my nieces health, and the fact that it was Christmas eve. If I get any kind of charge on my record, I lose my job, my niece could've had a panic attack, and who wants to call their mom on xmas eve and tell her their in jail? Lol.
But man, now it's low-key bothering me, and I WISH I could go back, and break all his ****ing windows. He thought he was tough because he had a friend in the car, but that **** wouldn't have stopped me.
I'm just glad he didn't get out of line with my niece because then it would've been a wrap.
Have ya'll been in similar situations? Lol.
