Lady GaGa's Rolling Stone will be 2010's best selling issue
Now this is in large part due to the General's interview, but still
Rolling Stone averages about 100K for every issue (ie every 2 weeks).
This one has sold 200K in just 1 week.
"Although of course it could be that Lady Gaga's cover is doing the trick.
One circulation source said that first weekend sales of the mag azine put it on target to sell about 200,000 copies.
That's nearly double the 107,000 copies that the company had been averaging for the previous six months on newsstands.
A company spokesman would not confirm the projection, but did say, "
We expect it to be easily the best-selling issue of the year
."
The Web version also generated 7 million unique visitors to the site. So it seems that the Web publicity only helped fuel interest in the magazine."

When I went to buy my copy, the salesgirl at Borders said they had to rush order a new batch because of how quickly it sold out.

The cover draws them in, the amazing interview keeps them buying multiple copies.

This proves the public still is in love with her, and she will come back next year firing and a no.1 debut

Bought it the other day, gaga's interview was the best article in it, but the big sales came from the whole general obama crap....

The world is fascinated by her.
I wish Rolling Stone was sold here, I'd collect so many of the covers

Why would you buy multiple copies?

It wins by default. I haven't even seen another cover from RS this year, they've been so dry.

Does anyone have an unwatermarked picture of the cover?
