Compared to many countries, yes. The United States is getting more and more LGBT friendly with each passing year. I honestly don't feel discriminated against much at all. My boyfriend and I hold hands in public all the time, and rarely even get an awkward stare. And I live in the south.

I live in Australia and there is next to no LGBT hate, I know lots of straight people who are okay with gays, bi's etc.
Our government is lacking behind. From memory, the majority of Australia were pro same sex marriage.

I heard the UK is pretty excepting as well. My ex is from NZ and she said they are really welcoming to LGBT as well.

I do know there is a lot of hate thrown towards overly fem gays, but some of them are way to sassy and rude that they bring it on themselves. One of the gays at my work got fired because of his sass and constant bitching.
But I think that's more of a fem male problem rather than a fem gay problem. Idk
Just because your gay doesn't make you special so that you can say whatever you want and behave like a 13 year old girl with even more attitude.

There are more and more tolerant people but there are lots of hostile young men who would hurt gays if they had the opportunity. Women are far more accepting, generally, and rarely aggresive

well to be fair, if you live in the east or south, you're in deep danger! west part (Istra) is very homofriendly! 70% support marriage equality, and north side (Varaždin and Čakovec) are also gay accepting! Capital city Zagreb is a mix, the east side is very violent and conservative while west is more accepting!
