I have literally never heard a good thing about Houston. People always talk about it being dirty and ****.
San Antonio looks pretty, I was going to go for Madonna's concert next month but I slept through ticket sales. As for Dallas, I live there so I can't have an unbiased opinion. It has cute areas and tragic areas that I wouldn't go after dark.
I was born in San Antonio and I have a lot of family there so I'm VERY partial to it, even though as I've gotten older I've seen how run down and rustic it looks.
Houston and Dallas are both nice, but I think Dallas has more to offer.
Houston is Soo big and so diverse.. They literally have EVERYTHING here. It's a great city, the economy here is a lot better than other places and the people here are great!
Austin is fun too but it's more of a visit for the weekend kinda city, not where I'd like to live.
Houston wants to be Dallas and New Orleans at the same time and it ends up not working. Dallas and Houston, especially the latter, don't really have any culture, while San Antonio is just beaming with history and culture. Austin has developed it's own cute thing too.
Speaking as someone from the DFW area, I hate Dallas. Such pretentious people.
I freaking love SA everyone here is so nice and open minded
I've had the opposite experience in the Dallas area. The clubs are much better there too. I try to avoid the drag shows from SA and Austin and will much rather see them in Dallas, the people and area are so much nicer and down to earth.
If you love you're family, then everywhere. Each city in Texas has its own thing and having family there can make it epic. It's why Longview and Garland Texas>>>>>> for me.
I'm not a texan, but I've spent four summers there, and sometimes I wish i went to SMU lol.
Edit: In terms of what everyone is mentioning: San Antonio>Houston>Austin>Dallas.
