Glad he survived, but sad that this is a problem. There's nothing physical that can be done about it either, other than tearing the bridge down and building an enclosed one. But suicidal people will just go to other bridges. It's purely a mental problem.
I remember when this happened years ago. You should watch the documentary about the GG bridge. Very good. I'm glad he survived and is able to see the beauty of life now.
