Honestly, yeah. As a trans person like Stephonknee (Sp?) I kind of feel like I missed out on my childhood as the gender I truly belong in. I was surpressing myself even then and it was miserable, but IMO everything happens for a reason and what matters is that I'm happy now. You can't reflect too much on your past, you just have to focus on the present and the future
