Is it stupid and awful that I don't want to to go my sister's house and see my godson, he's 11 months old?
I have problems with babies and small children as I have no interest in them at all and I feel so f'ing awkward around small children/toddlers and babies, it is normal to feel like this, or should I grow a pair and suck it up? I think I have Asperger's but that can't be the cause, can it?
I sort of feel that way when I have to volunteer for service projects involving children
I guess if I were you I'd visit him anyways. You're inevitably going to visit him some time in your life, it will be much easier to visit him now when he's just a baby than once he's a child
I'm the same way. If we are not close family, I won't even bother myself to go and see someone's new born baby. Nor do I care to entertain anyone's baby at any family function.
I can't relate because I love kids and I want to be a teacher (preferably 1st or 2nd grade) but I can understand why some people might be a little uncomfortable around young children and not really know how to act around them.
But I think you should still go visit him. This child is a part of your life and you can't avoid him forever. Maybe the more time you spend with him now the less awkward it will be in the future.

I used to feel awkward in front of babies and small children too lol. The only thing I knew how to do was awkwardly smile at them. Until my sister had a baby and since she was around me a lot, I learned how to interact with her (the baby) and now I want 5 kids
So just suck it up and you'll eventually get more comfortable!

I honestly have no idea where this issue would stem from, I mean, how could you feel awkward around babies? They're like the only people in the world that don't judge you.
I get super awkward as well around babies.They can't even talk,what are you supposed to do with them?
Don't worry though,he will love you one day.You'll buy him his first beer when he's 12.
