It is now only meant to be a reminder of how the world used to be before the coming of Christ. It was barbaric place thus the laws were equally barbaric. Christians are not expected to strictly follow them since Christianity is based primarily on the New Testament. Even Israel doesn't base its current LAW upon the OT. No modern society of any persuasion bases its LAW upon the practices or traditions of ancestors thousands of years ago[/B] - except Islam.

Christians believe that to get to Heaven you need to believe that Jesus was the Son of God, born from the Virgin Mary, and was sent to die on the cross for our sins and rose again 3 days later and will be returning soon[/B].
Edit: and form a relationship with God/accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and live according to his word/repent from your sins.

Religious education
It's only ignorant bigots that remain pressed. Or in many cases on atrl, homosexuals who have a deep hate towards religion because they think it's the common factor of why people don't believe in their orientation and way of living. It's so tiresome.
Religion supposedly hates homosexuals so they hate religion. That sounds like the right way to fight for
equality... not.
