Is the first single your fave put out still their biggest hit, or have they managed to outpeak themselves later in their career?

As for my faves:
Madonna - Everybody is nowhere near her most successful song, idk what is but it's probably Like a Virgin/Prayer, Vogue, or Hung Up. Wow @ the amount of peaks!

Katy - I'm considering IKaG her first but even if you don't, she outpeaked herself with Firework, and maybe even again with Roar and/or Dark Horse. Wow @ the amount of peaks!

Smile was probably Lily's biggest song but sales were really low when it was released.

No, my fave's first single is a flop. The album legit sold like 2,000 copies total.

Not at all in Selena's case, her singles have gotten more successful with every era. In fact, her debut single with The Scene is her only non-Platinum single.

Although, "If You Had My Love" hit #1 in the US and several other countries. "On The Floor" managed to outpeak it 12 years into her music career by selling almost 4x more in the states, 8x WW, hitting #1 in more than 20 countries, and becoming the Best Selling Female Single that year.
