Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor kissed right after their “Marvin Gaye” performance at the 2015 American Music Awards and got everyone talking. Minutes after the steamy set ended, Billboard caught up with Puth backstage for an interview about the big finale.
Based off what he told us, fans will probably be left hoping; it appears Puth and Trainor just wanted to recreate making out of the "Marvin Gaye" music video.
“It’s kissing your best friend,” Puth says. “It’s a little tricky, but she’s a great kisser.”
i think meghan would like to date him because he's hot and famous (there was a blind item about her looking for someone famous to date) but i think charlie likes them pretty and about 6 sizes smaller so him going all "oh we're just friends" is just to make sure that we're not under the illusion that he'd ever go out with her
