I do not see a problem with this. If people want to make music for fun, I don't see why that's a bad thing. It's not like they'll ever have anyone outside of their viewer base buy it unless it's a really good song, and it definitely won't be played on the radio or anything...so they're literally not hurting anyone.
I also don't see the problem with people wanting to sell merch...I mean, the promo can be annoying, but it's usually at the beginning or end of a video, so you can skip it.

I personally think people who gained a level of popularity from YouTube have just as much qualification to be "famous" as reality TV stars...they get money for literally just existing and having it filmed so...
