Both 25 and BEYONCÉ now hold the record of hitting #1 in 108 countries around the world.
108 countries that Adele topped were done by 25 while 1 country (Venezuela) was topped by 21.

From my research, she reached #1 in 108 countries simultaneous and 111 in total within the 1st week. Then she got another #1 later that month and then 4 more #1 later in the summer of 2014.

We have screenshots and old thread of the 108 countries. Perhaps Apple didn't count all the ones Kworb did.
