All of the other relevant Island Records acts re-released their works this year. Tove Lo, Fall Out Boy, Shawn Mendes.
The new additions are:
Good Thing
Levels
Area Code
Jealous (Remix) ft. Tinashe
Chains (Remix) ft. Jhené Aiko
Teacher & Levels (remixes)
+ the original Deluxe album of course.
THE NEW ALBUM IS STILL COMING EARLY NEXT YEAR, LIKE HE ALWAYS SAID.
THIS IS JUST A RE-RELEASE TO BOOST BLACK FRIDAY/CHRISTMAS SALES.
Keep it, not here for he making up his mind about the rerelease now. And the rerelease doesn't even include any new song. Everything since Teacher has been a lie, I've been fooled.
No, I doubt this is because Levels "underperformed" because:
1- they didn't promote it like a lead single or a second single (like Jealous or Chains)
2- we always knew about the new album coming early next year in March so the gap was too big between single released in August and album in March, so they obviously had this re-release planned.
3- we also got CONFIRMATION about the re-release before we even got Levels.
4- Island Records is using re-releases for all their artists, Fall Out Boy, Tove Lo, Shawn Mendes, etc.
Awful cover and tracklisting. All those songs have been out for months. What made his label think people, except for his hardcore fans, would buy this?
