With everything happening right now in the world are you scared?

Are you scared of going out because attacks might happen? Are you scared of being raped/abused? Do you check if your doors or windows are closed more than once when you're home alone? Do you refuse to go out because you feel like you could be in danger? Are you scared of the dark?

It wouldn't be possible to enjoy life thinking like that. The world will always be dangerous, there hasn't been a year where it was all peaceful and safe and there will never be. There will always be reasons to be scared, so don't get stuck in that loop. Always be careful and extra cautious, know how to protect yourself. That's all you can do about it.

Yes. My country is hosting the APEC Summit this week. Majority of the heads of states are going to be here and I live in the area where this will take place. HOLY ****.

I'm scared of the fact that every "heavily publicized" tragedy continues to grow closer and closer to home

A few months ago, my friend's friend was almost killed in a school shooting
A month ago, my friend was at school while there was a shooting on the other side of campus
I had a few friends in Paris that I couldn't hear from for almost 24 hours

In general I'm horrified by what's happening to humanity but I start to hope that something fatal doesn't happen to my family or friends.

Honestly I wish I could sacrifice myself in result of nothing like this happening ever again

People seem to think I'm joking. The likelihood of me dying in a terrorist-related incident is insignificant compared to the probability I shall die in the hands of a heath care professional. Stop listening to these people. They are not scary at all.

So no, I'm not scared I'm going to be raped nor am I scared of the dark and whatever else you said.

It's truly horrible, but let's not lose our minds.

I think it's just a part of who I am. I've always been scared and these kind of events don't help.
