This is a spin-off to my other thread except this one makes more sense. For those 18 & over and younger than 18, could you or were you able to wait to be legal and finally become an adult? Could or were you able to wait to have full-on freedom, be able to vote, legally drink, go to nightclubs or do any adult things?

I'm legal in every country in the world for almost 4 years now and It's great, I've done a lot of adult things

I felt like a mess at my 18th birthday. All those extra obligations are not cute.

We could drink at 16 in the Netherlands so that wasn't really an issue for me.

I didn't wait to drink. I started drinking properly at ~16. I couldn't wait til I was 18 (legal drinking age here)

I didn't really care when i could or not, but when i wanted to and felt like i really wanted to try it after i decided. Ironically, i do all these adult things much less nowadays than i did before turning 18.

I started drinking at 15 and was also 15 when I did my first sexual act. Oops.

Heck no. I felt like an adult at 12 and acted like one.
