I thought it was completely pointless. The people being affected by it aren't bothering to check your profile or some ****** ass quote.

Why is everyone on this site so damn miserable and critical? Its a nice thing to do. Its harmless and shows you support France during this time. Y'all need to ****ing lighten up, some people are donating, some people are helping. A profile picture should not have y'all in y'all feelings like this. Dont like it or think its meaningless, then dont do it

Not everyone can make a donation though!

It's not really useful and most of them will forget about it in 2-3 days but we can't say it's stupid or whatever.

I have nothing against the temporary profile picture thing. It's a nice way to show support, I guess. However, I wish it didn't show an update after each person changed their profile picture. It dominated by damn feed yesterday.

I haven't bothered since I don't use it much anyway. Nice of those that have.

The most annoying are those pretending to have known about Kenya and belittling everyone.

It's always THE same people whoring these things out on my Facebook feed no matter what the cause is. For most people it's just a contest of who can make themselves look the most concerned and supportive despite having no link to the cause.

They should make people donate a dollar or two in order to use the filter. Then we'd see just how concerned everyone is.

It's not about being miserable? It's about how many people die ( 40 died n Beirut a day before Paris was attacked) and no one is changing their pics to those countries flags with a great amount of daily deaths, and hey, I get it's an unusual thing for a city such as Paris to be attacked and it's amazingto show support and love to those who have fallen BUT when people act like those lifes deserve more mourning then those on Syria, Egypt or Turkey, it sickens me

You are all God damn pathetic. Any sign of thought to the attack is great. We are in the times of social media being a huge presence in daily life, and this is the way forward in situations like this. You really want someone from America to catch a flight to Paris to go and lay flowers or something?

Someone messaged me asking why I hadn't, and I explained that I don't even use the network much anymore, knew my support was with France and didn't need a filter to express that. Plus a mate of mine just died, I can't mourn everyone.

Ye, nearly everyone who is active on Facebook has done it which I think.....I mean it's nice to show support but still, there's usually some controversy around it so I just avoid it.

It's a war between stupid ignorant bandwagoners with their french profile pics and SJWs complaining about them being hypocritical and ignoring other major world issues.

Don't judge others for being empathic with Paris. It doesn't mean they don't care for the rest of the world. It just means this act of terror hits close to home.
