DVD is still the leading format, it won't be going anywhere .

I don't know if it's a sign but my laptop hasn't even got a disc tray thing.... thank god I don't use discs anymore

no cause sooner or later your pc, phone, iPad, etc will run out of space. Plus I like buy physicals

As long there are poor people who can't afford something better than DVD, it keeps going on. Giving enough time Blu-Ray players will drop under 50 euro, 20 euro,... and the 1080p TVs drop in price too.

I really just collect CD's for their value and i love having a real copy of something instead of streaming it.

DVDs maybe, but not Blu-ray or any other future alternative. Physical products, digital products.. there's a market for both.

Bluray has slowly taken over.

It's because Apple wants people to go digital.

We're soon to advance past the format we use now, branching internationally so all broadcasts are 2k, 4k, and onward.

Technology will continue to grow to the point that I am able to fly to work every morning (maybe not me, but y'know..)

Rise tech, rise, this is the beginning.

Also to note, if anyone sells their DVD's in favor of Blu-ray you can always get a Blu-ray + DVD Upconverting player which i have and it does a great job of making the DVD's look great on a bigger TV.

I wish it happened already. Tiziano is releasing a DVD without a Blu-ray version. I'm pissed.
