"Lose Yourself" & "Don't Speak" top 1 million in UK
Quote:
No Doubt's 1997 Number 1 Don't Speak and Eminem's 2002 chart-topper Lose Yourself have both passed the million sales mark.
And it's even better news for Eminem, as Lose Yourself gives him his second million-seller. He scored his first one back in 2011 when his Rihanna collaboration Love The Way You Lie scored seven digits despite never reaching Number 1.
Sung by the band's frontwoman Gwen Stefani, Don't Speak was No Doubt's first ever hit in the UK, going straight in at Number 1 in February 1997, knocking U2's Discotheque off the top spot.
Eminem's rousing Lose Yourself featured in 8 Mile, Slim Shady's acting debut loosely based on his own life. The song won an Oscar for Best Original Song and was his fourth Number 1 in the UK.
