I watched this interesting social experiment video earlier and thought I would share. It is basically a video of an Australian male (who is extremely cute btw) pretending to be blind, whilst asking a stranger to exchange change in coins for a five dollar note. Instead he gives them a 50 and see's if they take it.

It astounds me that anyone would actually take the 50 dollars. At the same time it is nice to see that the majority of people did the right thing. As my sister is severely disabled I've seen and experienced many people try to take advantage of situations, even once when I was younger and present but no other adults were around.

I once suggested that we leave a camera behind when my mother and I went out and left my sister with a paid respite carer. You would be surprised how many out of the 7 different carers we had, sat down on their phones for 3 hours, one even said "shut up" at one point (my sister can't understand anyway) rather than look after her. The idea is that she is meant to be pretty hands on, at the bare minimum they should have put something on to watch if they wanted to sit down. They at least need to feed her, play with her, wash her, basically just not sit down in silence for 3 hours. I know these aren't exactly the same examples but I feel they are comparable in that not doing what you are paid hourly to do over long periods of time is similar to stealing in my books. It really shows peoples true colours when they think they can get away with something.
Edit: Oh no, I swear I tried to post this in the discussions section.
