Nope, they're cute. The vote counting shouldn't be too bad or long, especially if you don't really get a lot of votes. Like some of the big albums that many have listened to can get 50+ votes, some more like 35+, some 20+ but if the artist/album isn't really successful, you might struggle to even get 10-15. I don't really host album survivors anymore but I do personal survivors (basically the same thing except you pick the songs that are in it) but I'll put the list of songs in a Notepad document and when I'm ready to update, count the votes on that. For PMs, just make a little post template, save it similarly, then simply PM that to members each time a round is up (preferably with a link to the new round, too.)
TL;DR - Not hard to do, difficulty can depend on how many people participate. Save votes + possible PM template in a document.
