No, ATRL is not shutting down.

Little known fact, 3 years ago when we officially renamed this site "ATRL", I bought "atrl.org" because it was the only "atrl" domain available. A few days later, "atrl.net" became available so we snapped that up and started using it instead.

Well, "atrl.org" expires tomorrow, and I don't feel like paying the money to renew it.

Does anyone want it? Should we do anything with it?

Whatever happened to that ATRL Wiki idea?

I could be wrong, but it just gives you another way to get to ATRL without using .net. I don't believe it's necessary to keep and spend money on .org domain, but that's just me.

I couldn't find any reason to renew it, unless people think we need it.

I don't see any reason to renew it. Anything you can do with 2 domains you can usually do with one. Add subdomains for wikis if you want them, or a huge handful of other options too. I've seen sites use a second domain as a picture server, probably to save on bandwidth, but that may not be an issue if you've already got unlimited(like I do). Let it go.

Maybe someone will use it to make a Tribute site

im lost , i dont even know anything about a org. is it a the net part? if not, i dont think you should pay for somthing that doesnt really stand out
